DESCRIPTION

Cubic's Immersive Virtual Shipboard Environment (IVSE) is a game-based learning technology that supports the U.S. Navy’s Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) program by immersing trainees in a 3D virtual environment, teaching tasks in settings virtually identical to real-life, shipboard scenarios.

ROLE

I Applied my AAA game leadership experience to lead content creators in the development of game-based training operations as Producer and Scrum Master for the IVSE Art Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

I led the IVSE Design and Art teams through pre-production and production in daily and sprintly scrum ceremonies for a classified project.

It was my job to work with SMEs to disambiguate project requirements, estimating stories and communicate with the customer to clarify project deliverables, and driving the team to deliver these requirements on time and in budget, coordinating with internal dependency teams and delivering project updates to Senior Production Leadership and PMO on a sprintly cadence.

KEY CONTRIBUTIONS

Art Improvization: Upon learning the art team was over-capacity, I researched previously created assets we could adapt to meet the project requirements, saving the team $120,000 in potential staffing costs.
